Quick Software - Certificate has Expired - Serious Issue?

When download and installing the Quik software for Mac, I get an error saying the developer certificate has expired.

 

I contacted tech support via chat and they indicated I probably had a old cached certificate in my keychain but this is not the case. I've tried 3 other Macs, none of which have ever the software installed and I get the same error message.

 

Has anyone else seen this error?

 

The certificate says it expired February 28th. GoPro support indicates they don't see this issue on their end, so I'm wondering if they have the file on a cloud server and one of the mirrors has a bad version?

I'm having this problem too. GoPro needs to republish with an updated certificate.

I talked to 2 different reps and they don’t think it is a real issue as they say it works on their end. So until they realize it is expired I guess it won’t get fixed. I even sent them a screenshot of the error and pointed them to other posts complaining of the same issue.

Just finished a VERY frustrating customer service chat on this issue. Maybe I confused them because I mentioned that I was installing the software now because I couldn't get my camera to connect to my android. Just opened the box yesterday so its my first time with a GoPro.

 

They seem stumped. I'm not really in the mood to pay $300 for a camera and find the software is potentially sketchy and get this kind of response. 

 

How hard is, "hey, thanks! We didn't know our certificate was out of date. We'll update it ASAP and let you know when we do!"

While downloading the latest version of Quik and encountering the Expired Certificate pop-up, try choosing Trust, then continue. Let us know how it goes.

I just downloaded Quik for Mac, went to install and hit this issue. I found this page via my Google search to see if others started having issues after Feb 28. Other than bypassing the warning which leaves us unsure if we are really installing what GoPro intended or what some bad actor substituted for it, when will this be fixed?
