Purple horizontal line across the bottom - HERO7 BLACK/ KARMAGRIP

So everytime I take a video with the Karma Grip I get a purple line at the bottom? Anyone know how to fix this? I've updated both my karma grip and go pro the the newest software and have tried different frame sizes and resolutions. I;'ve reset both the karma grip and gopro 7 and reupdated both filmwares. Filiming on the go pro works perfectly fine.

 

Go pro support was very unhelpful and put me on hold after getting all the details that they would get back to me within a day. I get a reply 3 days later, asking me question "does this only occur when you use the Quik app?" after i clearly stated in the ticket it happens when I play back in the quik app and all other media players and only when I record through the karma grip. I event told them everything I've tried to sovle the issue. Doesn't seem that I'm gonna get far with them.

 

I wanted to ask the community fo input before return the Karma grip.

Hi @slick-d10,

 

Have you tried resetting the grip and update it to the latest firmware. 

 

After that reset your camera and install the latest Update manually.

Make sure to follow manual firmware update.

 

Before it only happens in 1080. 

 

After trying those steps above check if you'll still encounter that problem.
