Re: No video playback in GoPro Studio - Windows 10

Bump!

Same issue.  Tried compatability modes and verified video works on VLC.  One thing I thought might be useful for troubleshooting is that I recorded this in 1080p60 and used the ProTune settings instead of the auto stuff.

This has been a known issue for 8 months now.  Come on!

Re: No video playback in GoPro Studio - Windows 10

I ended up downloading windows movie maker and it works fine for go pro files. I got tired of wasting time. WMM works very well for what I need.

Re: No video playback in GoPro Studio - Windows 10

I've got the same problem.

GoPro Studio worked fine under Windows 7. Now upgraded to Windows 10 & now there is no storyboard. Apparently my Intel PC last graphics driver is from 2013 & now no newer versions. I've tried running in Compatibility mode but still doesn't work. So now I have a GOPRO camera that's no good unless I buy a brand new PC.  Not happy.

Re: No video playback in GoPro Studio - Windows 10

I had a long chat with GOPRO Support & after running DXDIAG it showed on my Intel Graphics Card Dedicated Memory 64MB. Apparently GoPro Studio requires 512MB.  I can't change it in BIOS as its an integrated Graphics Card.

BUT what I don't understand is how come it worked under Windows 7 !

It won't even work under Windows 10 in Compatability mode.

So at the moment I import the footage & convert it.

I then just use those converted MP4 files in Windows Movie Maker.  But its not ideal.

My PC Is ok, shouldn't have to buy a new one.

Re: No video playback in GoPro Studio - Windows 10

At the end there is a valid option for the editing.

I ended up using gopro studio as it is not working on win 10, and probably it will never.

Da vinci resolve is a very powerful video editor and it is free for personal use.

Hope this is helping all of them having same problem of mine.

Anyway, shame on you Gopro that in more than 9 month you could not fix this issue.

Re: No video playback in GoPro Studio - Windows 10

Yes its odd as almost everything else works after my Win10 update. Must be bad programming on their Timeline section. Bizarre it doesn't even show the timeline. Be better if it showed it but was just slow on an older computer.

Not happy as got a fantastic camera & the Go Pro Studio was great for the Super Slow Motion.

Thanks will check out that Video editng App.

Re: No video playback in GoPro Studio - Windows 10

11/23/2016 and still no viable solution.  This is utterly ridiculous, particulalry because there has been no honest attempt to develop an answer.  The only suggestion has been a sloppy workaround that is moderatly successful at best.  GoPro, your lack of focus on this is appalling and this dissatisfied customer will be going elsewhere and propagating negative advertising for your product.
