Macbook Air M1 able to export 5,6 in HEVC?

[ New ]

Dear all

I'm considering buying a Macbook Air M1 to replace my current Windows 10 machine (Intel CPU + GeForce 980) for GoPro MAX video editing.

I want to understand if it's possible to export the GoPro MAX footage:

- in 5,6K HEVC instead of Cineform to reduce the video size

- with ambiX audio channels

These two points do not work with my current Windows setup. Does anyone already use the GoPro Player on a Mac with M1 processor and can share some insights?

Regards

-Luca.

Hello @gldecurtins

You should be able to change the resolution/codec through the Export Settings.

Check out How to Render Videos in the GoPro Player

We currently do not have a GoPro Player version optimized for the M1 chip but it should run on it.

Thanks!

Ej

Seems like nobody in this forum wants or can share experience with the new M1 Macs. Would it work on an intel based Macs?
