Well People, TODAY is the DAYS for ALL of OUR MAC USER running CATALINA, I see lot of people complaining about the GoPro QUIK APP NOT WORKING after upgrade our MAC with the New CATALINA but I like to thanks @didipixa he kind of explain in a short breif and quick process, not in very DETAIL way on how to make it WORKS, than I have to FIGURE IT OUT on a WAY to make it WORKS at a 100% STEP BY STEP just follow along the Images at this post.
IF THIS WORKS for YOU Please give me some LIKES.
STEP1 Download the APP from GoPro Wbsite than double click to RUN the installation.
STEP 2 Let the APP run the installation process than you must let the QUIK APP to control your MAC by clicking OK
STEP 3 Verify the QUIK APP is install proper
STEP4 Launch the QUIK APP and Sign In with your GoPro Account
STEP 5 Plug the HERO 8 Camera to see if the APP detects the Camera...
STEP 6 Click the GEAR Icon and here is the Info about your Plug In Device SO IS NOT DETECTING My HERO 8
STEP 7 OPEN System Preferences
STEP 8 In system preferences GO Security & Privacy
STEP 9 GO to PHOTO Icon than CLICK the GoPro Quik Box with the Check Mark
STEP 10 GO TO Full Disk Access also Click on the GoPro Quik with the CHECK Mark than Close your System Preferences
STEP 11 Plug In your HERO 8 Camera TURN IT ON and it will LAUNCH the QUIK APP Automaticalloy than the Camera Clock is Off so I don't Care about this.
STEP 12 I can see the HERO 8 Camera is DETECTS by the QUIK APP and also detect the MicroSD Card Size.
STEP 13 By Clicking the GEAR Icon it will display the following window with the name of my Camera
STEP 14 TESTING to IMPORT the memory contents
STEP 15 Takes a little bit depending on your Files Sizes PATIENTS
STEP 16 IMPORT COMPLETE.... you are all DONE Congratulation now your MAC CATALINA and GoPro QUIK

Sorry for any trouble caused.
We are aware of this issue. We'll post back once we have an update.
In the meantime, you can manually copy the files to your computer via Finder/Image Capture.
Then add it as a media folder. For reference, see How to Add Media Folders in Quik for desktop

1- uninstall previous Quik app
2- download firmware and manually re update my Hero 8
3- format my MicroSD card from the camera
4- reset Hero 8 to factory
If these step still doesn’t work for you than contact gopro for a RMA and you have to sent your Hero 8 for repair. Good luck
This steps and the screen shots is WORKS for me, that’s why I share my experience with anyone who has the same problem.

Thank you SO MUCH for this solution. I just spent an hour on the phone with GoPro and ended up finding this thread while on hold. I spoke to two people at GoPro. The first person told me that it was an issue with my laptop. The second person spent an hour trying to figure this out while in the meantime I found this. Hopefully GoPro takes note of this so others dont need to kill as much time as I did.
