What on earth were you thinking GoPro, getting rid of Studio!??? The whole point of your cameras are so people can create their own video edits.
Yes you have Quik, but this just pumps out generic, short and crappy videos which is fine for people who just want to quickly snap some action and post on YouTube, but it leaves the rest of the GoPro community a bit miffed.
People don't want to shell out silly money to on Adobe products, GoPro Studio kind of came hand in hand in buying your cameras and as such you should still provide a free editing software as you originally did. Bring it back!!!

I previously used Studio for my GoPro Hero 3 and loved the editing software. I then upgraded to the Hero Black 5 for better quality filming. i went to edit footage but my version of Studio was no longer compatable with my MAC. i upgraded to a new laptop with an i7 core processor just so i would be able to continue using Studio, but now i find out i cant even use/download studio and i am forced to use Quik. I find this extremely upsetting due to the amount of money i spent on new GoPro products and on a new computer to edit my footage. Quik cannot be the only editing software you provide. As customers, we deserve another application that provides versatility and freedom like Studio used to.

Well, GoPro you have another unhappy customer. Apparently not that you care and I noticed no one from GoPro is answering any longer. GoPro Studio is now unusable as it freezes constantly and makes editing impossible. Like many other programs and software, it appears this was deliberate to get people over to Quik. Like many others have said here, Studio is very much superior to Quik. It was easy to learn and use. I managed to get the location of my GoPro videos in Media Folders in Quik, hit scan, and twenty minutes later it's still scanning. It's six videos. It shouldn't take all that time to scan for them. It shouldn't be necessary to scan for them at all. Studio was much simpler and faster than this. As someone else noted in this thread, Quik only allows 15-30-60 second videos with a music track you can't get rid of. That is totally useless for the majority of people who use GoPros.
Since there are so many complaints about Quik, and I think there are many, many more than just in this forum out there, Studio should be brought back. It seems customer service is severely lacking.
