How to fix laggy/glitchy video playback on Quik desktop app

I am a brand new user for my GoPro Hero 5. I took some short clips (no longer than 1 minute) and downloaded them to my media on Quik app on my laptop. Laptop is Windows 10 with Intel i7 and Nvidia Geforce 940m video card. I have tried to update my laptop as much as I can, including checking to make sure my video card is up to date. my footage is very laggy and glitchy when I play it back. What am I missing? Does the app itself need to be updated? what steps do I need to take so I can have smooth playback for future editing.

Thank you,

-George

Re: How to fix laggy/glitchy video playback on Quik desktop app

I have also this problem, specialy in create mode, quick is so slow it is hardly impossible to create a clip.

I own a Dell XPX 9530 labtop with 2 graphic cards, i have tried both.

But both are very slow.

Video editing in gopro studio is faster then quick, much faster

Are there solutions?

Re: How to fix laggy/glitchy video playback on Quik desktop app

Solutions that i find:

1. Download old version of GoPro Studio and use it.

or

2. Edit video on ipad/iphone in quik

or

3. Record with low quality
