Hero7Black - After taking timelapse photos, quik cannot find videos on SD card

I was attempting to create a timelapse, and for some reason it defaulted to photo mode. A few timelapse photo selections were created. Later on in the week I used my gopro on my snowmobile for a while, creating normal videos, and then decided to add a Timelapse Video.

When attaching the Hero7Black to my computer, the import process ONLY imports the photos and I can't even find the videos (or timelapse video) when exploring the SD card via windows explorer.

The camera finds the videos and timelapses just fine when not attached to the computer and just browsing the media via the touchscreen.

I have to pull the SD card, put it in a SDCard adapter, and place it in my laptop to find the videos manually.

Ideally I will not be using the timelapse photo feature ever again, but I'm not even sure if this is what's causing the issue.

Hello @qoreycube. This is odd. Which player are you using to view your time lapse footage? If you are using Quik for desktop, make sure that the view page is not set to Photos. There is a drop-down menu that gives an option to show all.

Also see if it using any of the programs here will allow access and viewing of your videos/ time lapse videos. You may also explore the GoPro App for mobile. Let us know how it goes. Thanks!

Thank you for your quick response. The Quik app, after importing, only shows previous picture-time-lapses. The Filter at the top right is set to "All". When I change it to "Videos", it's empty. I pulled the videos directly off the SD card in the SDCARD\DCIM\105GOPRO folder, amongst a bunch of jpeg files from a one of the previous picture timelapses.

The GoPro app for mobile doesn't help me transfer them on to my computer unfortunately. While I was transferring these off of the SDCard (using an adapter), I created more timelapse videos on a separate SDCard. Those appear to be transfering just fine

Strange, after I swapped out the other SD card and put the previous SD card back into the GoPro, I was able to import pictures and videos this time. I'm not sure what changed besides just swapping out the SD cards for a while?

Looks like it cleared up for now.

Re: Hero7Black - After taking timelapse photos, quik cannot find videos on SD card

Thank you for the update, @qoreycube. Good to know that the videos and photos are all importing now. Was the SD card (the one you were using initially when the problem was observed) among the recommended ones here?
