Hero 6 does not show up in Quik when connected

I've tried several combinations of powering on / off the computer and GoPro Hero 6 and I haven't had any luck with Quik recognizing my brand new camera.  It's the first time I'm trying to hook it up.  I had no such issues with my Hero 4 Black.  Oh the irony of the name of this software.  Any help out there?

Windows

 

In addition to this, please ensure that the camera and the program is up to date.
