In the Movies and TV application of Windows 10 I can view and edit the videos recorded with HEVC, be it in 4k or FullHD in 240fps, but in Quik-for-desktop the videos do not appear in my media, because the message that was imported one HEVC file and the hardware is not compatible, however the hardware is compatible.

It needs to have support for HEVC 10-bit h.265. I don't belive skylake does. All Nvidia 10-Series graphics cards, like 1070 and 1080, have hardware decoding support for this codec. The new Ryzen processors have support for the codec built in too. But, Quik probably still won't work. A bunch of people are having problems getting even the officially supported Kaby Lake Processors to work with quick. And it tells you your computer is incompatible when you use anything from AMD or Nvidia. Quik is just a sloppy program. The programers at GoPro are lazy.
