HEVC and i8550u
[ New ]Dear all,
Short question: can I expect HEVC to work on a brand new notebook with these specs:
- Windows 10
- i7 8550u
- MX150 Geforce NVidia (which is better/faster than the required GT650M)
- 8GB DDR4 ram
- Bought in 2018
- Asus S510U
- HDD 1TB + SSD 256GB
I read on the Gopro site that it should work on Kaby Lake processors (or higher). To my knowledge the i8550 fits that description.
But.....when running Quick for desktop it says my specs are not fit for HEVC.
What could be causing this?
THanks
Niek

Re: HEVC and i8550u
[ New ]Hi @rapidcliff48782,
Your specs can actually handle HEVC. You just need to use third party software such as Adobe Premiere.
Quik for Desktop don't support HEVC yet.
Please check this article: https://gopro.com/help/articles/block/hevc
Feel free to reply if you need more help.
