HERO7 is not recognized by Quik desktop on windows 10

Just installed brand new Quik 2.7.0.945 app on windows 10. Plugged in hero7 with original cable, can see it in devices list and browse for files on SD on windows. However Quik doesn't recognize the camera as it wouldn't be unplugged. I found these logs in Windows logs Viewer GoProDesktopApp group from Quik app (appeared in following order):

 

- Device broadcast header is for Device Interface - Processing.

- Processing PnP device with id \\?\USB#VID_2672&PID_0047#C3281326006741#{6AC27878-A6FA-4155-BA85-F98F491D4F33}.

Performing WMI query SELECT Caption, DeviceID, HardwareID, Manufacturer, Name From Win32_PnPEntity WHERE

- PNPDeviceID='USB\\VID_2672&PID_0047\\C3281326006741'.

- Found 1 entries. Processing only entry 0.

- Device with Manufacturer (Standard MTP Device) is not a GoPro device. Exiting.

- Device is not MTP - checking drives.

 

Before writing this post i:

1. Rebooted windows

2. Reinstalled Quik

3. Reset gopro to factory settings

4. Tried different cables

5. Tried different usb ports

 

Please provide an assistance.

Kindly try this, got to Device Manager> Find GoPro> Select "Disable" then "Enable"

Should it still be the same, please reach out to our Support Team.

Let them know of the troubleshooting steps taken .

@aragon1006: I've found only this one which doesn't trally look like gopro, but gopro's flash drive in windows explorer is calles "MTB USB Device", so i assume it is.

So i enabled/disabled this one, and after reopening Quik app it didn't really help - my gopro is still not recognized by the app.

In Event Viewer i see the same log record 'Device is not MTP - checking drives."

 

Looking forward for next steps to fix this issue..
