GoPro as webcam in Linux [ New ]

Did you had a chance to share this feature request with team? Are there any answers from them? I don't expect any hard commitments or statements. Just curious if this on the table or i should not wait for it at all.

Been checking this thread weekly for any updates.

Just a heads up, that webcam support for GoPro on Linux is the only thing stopping me from picking up a Hero 9. I don't want to have to purchase a Cam Link AND a media mod, when it can be connected to a PC via software.

I feel like extending support to Linux is a small cost for a substantial appeal to a large (and only growing) ecosystem.

I will continue to wait for any updates :)

I do confirm the wish to have my Hero 5 available as a webcam when connected using the USB C cable to my laptop.

GoPro team, be my hero !
