same here

I've a Hero7 Black & connected to a 2019 iMac 27 running Catalina

Cam registers USB connection but iMac doesnt show blue dot on the top Right Hand icon.

GoPro software also greyed out

I've used several different USB-C cables (some are power only & no data transfer) but none seem to work.

Please help

Using Gopro hero 9 black with Macpro 2013 version; app is dead, no amount of rebooting etc is resolving. downloaded firmware etc. Not working.

The only thing that happens is it will put a greyed out camera icon in your system tray. Once you turn on your GoPro and plug it into a USB port it will become active and turn your GoPro into a webcam.  You must select the GoPro as your preferred camera in whatever webcam software you will be using, i.e., Zoom, Skype, etc.
