GoPro Studio timelapse - trouble converting

I am trying to create a timelapse in GoPro Studio and have gone over all tutorials and don't know what I am doing wrong:

-imported 392 frames in Import New Files

-plays at 13.02 seconds for 29.97fps - looks great, perfect!

-add clip to conversion list - again Original and Output look indential (frame size and frame rate)

-hit Convert All - and they convert to a 1.13 second clip.  No amount of changing the speed makes it look like the original, it just slows down the blur.

Every tutorial I look at shows that once I hit convert all, it should look exactly the same.  WHAT AM I DOING WRONG???  I am trying to make a clip for my 8th graders class memory video of the morning arrival to school.

Re: GoPro Studio timelapse - trouble converting

Hello @fastdusk3045

Thank you for reaching out. Here are some basic questions and steps to help us trace possible source if error:

  1. Make sure that the files are GoPro recorded .mp4 files and not files coming from any other camera.
  2. How many clips are being converted at once? Make sure it’s no more than 10.
  3. Are there any clips in the conversion bin that were already converted? Remove those first before going forward.
  4. Are the conversion settings from the ‘Advanced Settings’ menu different than the source clips(Resolution and FPS)? Please keep these settings consistent with the source clip settings for the sake of troubleshooting.
  5. Try changing the ‘save to’ destination to the desktop for troubleshooting purposes.
  6. Be sure that the files weren’t imported onto the hard drive using any 3rd party application.
  7. If you are using a MAC computer, be sure that the files are copied using finder and not iPhoto or any other import program or application, and that the files are local to the computer and not on an external hard drive.

Hope this helps. For a more personalized support, you can get in touch with our Support team via phone or chat through https://gopro.com/help/ContactUs.

Thanks,
