GoPro Quik bitrate problem

Hi forrum,
I've got a problem with GoPro Quik which i can't seem to fix.
In my vacation i've recorded 4k 30 fps (57Mb/s Bitrate) video, when saving my edited video from GoPro Quik. It converts it to a disappointing 14 Mb/s bitrate video.
This destroys the quality of the video. Example:
original vid:
Edited Video Frame:
I hope/think there should be a better way of exporting with greater quality while keeping the 4k resolution.
Do you guys have any suggestion on how to achieve a higher bitrate video?
Love to hear.
ps. Shot on a Hero 5

Hello @swifttree16136,
Quik should be able to display gauges. Alternatively, you can explore Dashware. Other members also share using RaceRender which can be downloaded for free. This is not a GoPro application though.
Best regards,
Marius

Was there any solution to this? I am paying $5 a month to use this app but it is saving in an awful quality level. I have selected 4k 24fps but the end product looks embarrisingly pixellated.

Hi @almightygg
Quik for Desktop and Quik for Mobile are both free applications.
If you are having issues with the image quality, we'd like to help you further.
Are you able to share a sample file so we can assess the issue?

Hi, sorry for slow reply. I have been travelling a lot so not been able to get to my computer.
The file issues are exactly the same as for the OP above. I upload 4k quality video to my laptop and use the Quik app to edit it but when it saves the video it does it at such a low bitrate (~100MB for a 1 minute video) that it is pixellated when watching back. I have tried all of the options but there is no way to increase the bitrate above 14MBs. Not sure what the point of a 4k camera is when the default software doesn't allow you to take advantage of the quality.
I understand your point about the software being 'free' but the way GoPros are marketed in my country (Singapore, I cannot speak for your country) the software is marketed alongside it as something that is included as part of the package. So whilst it does not cost any extra it is seen as something you have paid for as part of the package.
I signed up to the GoPro premium service, mainly so that I would have access to the song library, but to be honest if I am going to have to use a different software package due to the limitations I see no reason whatsoever to continue with my subscription. I cannot understand why Quik will not allow me to save at a decent bitrate, I have a powerful computer and more than enough cloud space to save all of the large files.

U cant use gps data, gauges etc. because quik lowers video quality after edit. There is no other software that supports gopro hero 6 black gps data. Please fix this!
