GoPro Quick Desktop Save to File Option

[ New ]

Is there a way to Save your video to File instead of "Sharing" to Youtube or Facebook.  All I want is the GPS and Speedometer gauges added to my video within the Quick App, but then export it to a file on my desktop where I can continue editing the footage.

Hello @leonr6007. Yes, you can save your edits in Quik for desktop. Once saved, you can find your edited project or video in the Edits view. You can also find them in the Recent tab. The file itself can be found following the file path below:

  • /Users/<YourUserName>/Pictures/GoPro - Mac
  • C:\Users\<YourUserName>\Pictures\GoPro - Windows

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the reply. Does it save the whole video or just the highlights? I saw in the “Open in Create” tab it only can create up to 60 second videos.

@leonr6007 - It will save the whole video that you have edited.

Hi, no this doesn't work at all.  there is no option to save to file. I don't know how you open a whole movie file in "edit", there is only a "create" option and then this is only for clips, not full length mp4 video's

Hi @leonr6007

You may view/trim the file via Quik for desktop

Double click the file then it should give you an option to trim it.

When creating an edit on Quik for desktop, the maximum video length is around 1 minute.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks!
