Thank you francescm42515. I’m the one who initiated this on November 6 and your solution solved the problem. My Hero 8 Black and Hero 7 Black both worked fine on my old computer (using USB 2.0) but not the new one (using USB 3.0). There is a USB 2.0 port on the side of my monitor so I connected there and it worked fine for both cameras.
