I have the $4.99 Cloud Storage that syncs with Quik Desktop Mac. I want to know if its safe to remove files from my desktop as my Mac is out of space. If I remove these videos will they stay in the cloud or is this an active sync of my offline files?

Thanks for reaching out. If all your contents in Quik for desktop are already uploaded to your Plus cloud storage, then yes, deleting media within the application, it will delete the media from the Quik for desktop application AND the original file location. It will also delete the file from the GoPro Plus Cloud account. It will then move the file to the trash bin.
Before proceeding with deletion, there will always be a reminder for file deletion within Quik for desktop.

You didn't answer their question - how can I safely remove GoPro videos from my Mac SAFELY since the hard drive is getting full? I do NOT want to delete them from GoPro Cloud but ONLY from Mac hard drive.

@dschwartzaz, since jonbast's original question was if it's safe to remove files in Quik for Desktop app given that the Mac computer is already running out of space, I just explained how deleting the media within Quik for Desktop application will also remove the content in the original file location (on the computer) AND GoPro Plus Cloud account (if the media files are uploaded to Plus cloud storage). Hopefully this clears up the answer. Thanks!

Hello @jeffb23113. Yes, the same effect will happen using the GoPro App. Once you delete a cloud media through the GoPro App, such media will no longer be accessible even through Quik for desktop or plus.gopro.com . Deleting media from the app (not under the Cloud tab) though will not affect the cloud storage.
