@peterh8475 - The slow motion feature is not offered in Quik for Desktop. The slow motion option is available in our mobile app. Details are at https://gopro.com/help/articles/question_answer/How-Does-Quik-for-mobile-Manage-Slow-Motion. Also, many third-party editors can use GoPro content and also offer a slow motion option.

Sounds like the camera may not have been turned off fully. Be sure to press and hold the Mode button on the side until the red LEDs flash. The camera will power off then. If you want to be sure, you can remove the battery after you turn the camera off, then reinsert it.
