This is happening to me. Just keeps crashing. I removed auto save. I deleted and redownloaded the application. Now again it lost the whole life I have been working on. Does anyone know another application I can download that does not do this. GoPro really needs to work on this application.

@timonp0776 - Just wanted to check that you're using the latest version of our Quik for Desktop software (which includes Studio). The latest version of Quik/Studio has been really stable and reliable.

@morise75 - You can turn off Autosave by clicking on "GoPro Studio" in the menu at the top of the screen and then selecting "Preferences". A window like this will pop up. The Autosave settings are at the bottom of this window.

This App is no good! GoPro charges 10-50 times more than others for their action camera, and still they're not in black. They make great HW, let's giv'em that, but the SW stinks. Mayby that's why it's bundled for free? But really, when we end up loosing hours, sometimes days of work, it hurts GoPro's reputation as well. They should take this seriously.
The App works great as long as your project is just a few gig in size with a 5-10 min clip, but as soon as you grow into a serious project, it falls through big time, crashes, won't save, won't load. Even if you turn autosave off, there's still autosave files leftovers in the folder.
And there's no reason why an app should take forever to load a project on an 8 core i7 with 32Gig memory and 800Gig SSD.
It does way to much housekeeping work during load. Saving is normally fast - when it works. It's just too bad that saving fails on large projects.

I have the same problem with gopro studio, and i am totally agree with vikingoy.
I am very desapointed with gopro studio.
Do you have other userfriendly apps to make that gopro can't do ?

I HAVE EXACT THE SAME PROBLEM AS Vikingoy EVEN WITH LOT WORST. OVER 4 MONTHS I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO EDIT A LONG PROJECT, CREATED SEVERAL TIMES, CAN'T OPEN ANYMORE, CRASHES EVERY TIME, SEVERAL PIC/VIDEOS DOESN'T APPEAR REGARDLESS HOW MANY TIMES I HAD TO CHANGE THE NAMES.....I HAVE DONE ALL THE UPDATES (WINDOW/GOPRO, SYSTEM IS HIGHER THEN NEEDED....ETC.). NOW NONE OF THE PROJECTS OPEN, ASK TO "LAUNCH QUICK" OR "NO THANKS" EITHER ONE CLOSES THE PROGRAM. NOW I CAN NOT EVEN ACCESS THE PROJECTS THAT I HAVE BEEN EDITING OVER AND OVER FOR OVER 4 MONTHS. I BECAME PRO IN EVERY AREAS WITHIN STUDIO, THERE WAS NOTHING LEFT THAT I DIDN'T DO TO FIX THE ISSUES.
SO GOPRO, I URGE YOUR TECH SUPPORT TO DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO FIX THIS ONGOING ISSUES THAT BEEN HAVING SINCE 2015 TO DATE.
REASON OF CAPITALIZE, TO SHOW JUST A BIT OF MY OVER 4 MONTHS OF FRUSTRATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
