Re: Fusion camera not recognised on iMac or MacBook Pro

Aenruguez,

you probably didn't understand our problem. When we select "browse camere media" GoPro Fusion is not found.

Maybe somone from the GoPro team take the MacBook Pro with the new Catalina system and try to do what you showed in the instructions?! It doesn't t work.

Re: Fusion camera not recognised on iMac or MacBook Pro

Not sure if this is helpful but I can access the videos when plugging in my go pro fusion to my windows laptop.

But when I plug it into my mac it doesn't show the video files for the Front and Back like the windows laptop does.

In order to do it, I have to use an SD card reader for each SD card and copy the files over that way. Once you have all files copied over, Fusion Studio lets you choose the folder you put them all in and it will import them.

Re: Fusion camera not recognised on iMac or MacBook Pro

Has this been resolved?

It's been 4 months; I'm having the same problem.

It's February 2020, Fusion Studio does not recognize Fusion camera.

My system:

  • MacBook Pro, Catalina 10.15.3
  • Fusion Studio 1.4.0.302
  • Fusion Camera 2.0 firmware

Re: Fusion camera not recognised on iMac or MacBook Pro

@craigarj, sorry to hear about the trouble. Run any available OS updates and make sure to have the latest update for your Graphics Card/s drivers installed. Use the GoPro USB-C cable that came with the camera. There are some troubleshooting steps here that will help:

Additionally, similar to troubleshooting the issue with Quik for Desktop, you can try the suggestions in this thread to see if they'll work for you: https://community.gopro.com/t5/GoPro-Apps-for-Desktop/Quik-not-compatible-with-macOS-Catalina/m-p/50...

And make sure that your Mac system allows access to removable devices. See this thread https://community.gopro.com/t5/GoPro-Apps-for-Desktop/GoPro-Quick-Mac-import-not-working-import-butt... for more details.

Re: Fusion camera not recognised on iMac or MacBook Pro

I tried everything you suggested.

√  Run OS updates

√  Use USB-C cable

√  Camera is not Recognized when Plugged into a Computer USB Port

√   GoPro Fusion Studio App: Camera Not Recognized When Connected to Computer

√  try: https://community.gopro.com/t5/GoPro-Apps-for-Desktop/Quik-not-compatible-with-macOS-Catalina/m-p/50...

√  Mac allows access to removable https://community.gopro.com/t5/GoPro-Apps-for-Desktop/GoPro-Quick-Mac-import-not-working-import-butt...

Nothing worked.

Furthermore, from reading the links, your team not only knows about this problem, but has been aware for months

You might have mentioned this in response to my original post.  I specifically ask: has this been fixed?

You could have simply said:

"No, it hasn't been fixed."
