Hey, all you GoPro lovers!
I recently got a fusion and I freaking love it! I'm not sure if this is a silly question or not but I'm having some difficulty with rendering a 360 photo for Facebook. I've always used the GoPro app on my phone to share content on social media. I've always been able to grab a 360 still from a video and share it directly to Facebook. This past time, I ended up dumping the footage on my hard drive so I'm using the fusion studio software on my mac and I can't seem to get it to work.
I've gotten it set up as a single still frame from a 360 video and set it to a "Facebook" export but it exports as an mp4 and Facebook gives me an error saying that my video is too short. When I preview the file, it's the exact frame I want but as an mp4 file. I've tried changing the .mov to .jpg but that didn't work. Does anybody know a workaround to my problem or a different export method? If so, I'd love to know!!
I shot some 360 footage from my friend's band and want to give them a 360 photo for their Facebook page. :)

Try this instead.
Add it to render Queue
Choose all default (Don't choose facebook either)
Keep it on editing 5.2K and stereo and create render queue.
Render the file and manually upload it to facebook.
Let us know if that will work.

I appreciate your speedy reply but no luck. As soon as I hit "add to render queue", I'm given these options:
I tried Editing and the Facebook option and no luck. Any other ideas?

That's odd. Can you show us what's happening?
Can you record a video while you're rendering and uploading and upload it to dropbox.
I'll send a private message so you can reply to me directly.

There's nothing to show, the 360 still from the 360 video exports as either a .mov or .mp4. Anyways I found a 360 photo I shot as they were setting up so they were fine with that. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10211893951178718&set=p.10211893951178718&type=3&theater
Thanks for your help!

Yeah Someone told me that not to long ago but what I was curious about is for Fusion studio, is there a way to extract a 360 photo from a 360 video like in the GoPro capture app on your phone. You then can post it to facebook as a 360 photo. If you could do that in the desktop app, I feel that would be game changing!

It would be great to have it in Fusion Studio but extracting a 360 photo as you described is a function that is not supported at this time. You might want to also provide this as a feedback to the team here https://gopro.com/feedback
As Daniel discussed, you can explore the GoPro VR Player to look into options of grabbing a 360 photo from Fusion videos.
