Fusion Studio 1.0 freezes my computers

[ Edited ]

Hi all,

I'm trying for the last 3 days to render files from my new Fusion. The Fusion Studio is working extremely slow (some 30 min for a 10 sec video), my computer is almost freezed so I can't do anything else. I'm usig an iMac Core i5 3,4GHz 32Gb RAM NVIDIA GTX 775M 2Gb. After I render, even if I quit or force quit Fusion Studio, the computer is freezed until I restart it.

I've installed the app on a win machine (Corei7...etc) and I get the same result. Extremely slow rendering and crashes.

What is happening? I think the app is full of bugs, I don't have any other explanations.

Agreed, Twixxx.

Fusion Studio won’t render my videos on PC, I’ve uninstalled, reinstalled, drivers are current.

The GoPro app is a great control panel for the camera, but is Quik going to be able to do stories if the video cannot be rendered?

An update is required, if you guys plan on selling this camera during the Holiday seasons.

Pretty please?

Im having issues too. It doesnt freeze but makes the mac very slow. Took 2 1/2 hours to render a 1 minute video then when the video is played back its all blurred.

Very very dissapointed

The same situation (even worse) on iPhone X... I tryed to render a 1:30 clip and it processed for hours... and I stopped it eventually...

Very big dissapointment from Gopro. I'm using these cameras since the first edition but the last one (the most expensive) is a total mess.

Re: Fusion Studio 1.0 freezes my computers

Spoke with a Rep at GoPro, had to wait about an hour, but this guy was state side and knows his job well.

We took a shot at updating the AMD drivers on my PC, and after talking to him, he provided some other methods for import and rendering. The rep suggested smaller video clips and lower resolution video. I never use this PC and when I updated to WIN10, I figured it updated the drivers. Nope.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled Fusion Studio since the driver updates.

Software still crashes on rendering.

Hey @twixxx,

I would recommend getting in touch with our Support Team directly. They can take a look at your system and see what may be going on. I will also go ahead and pass this along to the team to see if they have any ideas. https://gopro.com/help/ContactUs

Cheers,

Ryan
