Free Video Editors & Editing with DaVinci Resolve

[ Edited ]

If you haven't transitioned to a professional non-linear editor yet, I suggest you consider getting started with DaVinci Resolve.  It's a free editor that gives you all of the professional tools you need to make amazing videos.

I'm using DaVinci Resolve to edit my GoPro Fusion panoramic video's after I rendered them with GoPro Fusion Studio.

But when I render them using Resolve, I get some weird black stitching. See below.

Before rendering with Resolve:

After rendering with Resolve:

Anybody know how to fix this?

Re: Free Video Editors & Editing with DaVicni Resolve

I found the problem. While editing and exporting the video I noticed black bars in de preview window. It turns you need to manually change the project resolution as wel as the export resolution.

To change the project resolution go to: File -> Project Settings -> Master Settings -> 'Timeline resolution', change it to 'Custom' and make sure the resolution is the same as the original video file. Also use this resolution while exporting.
