Hi @heroicstar26248

Converted files will no longer be detected by Quik.

It will be best to use a third-party application to view/edit this type of file.

Check out Programs to View and Edit Videos

You may also use the GoPro App to view these files on your phone.

Thanks!

Ej

Hi @heroicstar26248

Are these videos or photo files?

Have you tried using the sort option on the Media tab?

Try scrolling down to the bottom of the page, see if the files were backdated.

Thanks!

Ej

Hi @heroicstar26248

How was the initial import done?

Did you use an SD card adapter or was the camera plugged in?

Thanks!

Hi @heroicstar26248

Do you still have the files on the SD card? Do you still remember the resolution used n these videos?

Try to do a couple of test recordings.

Manually upload these new files to your computer. Saved it on a folder then add it as a Media Folder on Quik.

Check out How to Add Media Folders in Quik for desktop

Also, please note that while some functions of cameras may work with Quik for desktop, we have not provided any updates to the program prior to HERO8 and therefore we are unable to determine what features will work, what won't, and what consistency you may get with HERO8 and newer models.

Thanks!

Ej

Thanks! @heroicstar26248

HEVC files are not fully compatible with Quik for desktop.

Check out HEVC Explained

Have you tried using other applications to play these files?

Thanks!

So if i get this right i can either buy a new processor or convert them into H.264 codec. Or will the quik for desktop still not support it? If i whould convert it how big of a quality loss is there?

(I have windows 10)
