I've got a go pro hero 4 (silver).
It recorded a load of vid the wrong way up (and some the right way up) so i've had to use my mac to rotate the vids - but now I really want to get them all back to my go pro so I can use the go pro app on my phone to edit, trim and upload straight to facebook etc (my mac has a number of issues which I won't go in to so it's not easy to do from there).
Is there ANY way I can get the files back on to my go pro so they can be read by the app?

If files were edited/adjusted using a different program, this will no longer be recognized by Quik for Desktop.
What you can do is to save all the files on your Mac then copy these to your phone (AirDrop or using a cable)
Once done, you can have the files edited via the GoPro app/Quik(mobile).
Let us know how it goes.

So once I get them back to my phone via airdrop if they’re not too large 😬) - will the go pro app be able to access them from my camera roll? I assumed it would only look at media from the go pro itself? I’m guessing here going to be too large though 😬
Thank you 🤗

Hello @nancyp64. The media from your phone's Photos/Media app should be recognized by the Quik portion of the GoPro App. This means that going to the Media tab in the GoPro app will not allow access to such photos but going to the QuikStory tab will show them. Let us know what you find out.

One last question (sorry!). Part of why I wanted to access them on the app was not only to edit them together but also to capture some stills from them - but I can’t seem to do that in the quik portion? Am I just being stupid?
