Best editing software for rookies.??
[ New ]
Hi,
I’m all new to this Gopro stuff, and I’m finding the editing process “not very easy”.
So I want some advice to choose the right editing software. Startet downloading Quick, but would not show my recorded files on the desktop app. Also, Quick looks like you can’t control anything yourselve.
So, my demands for a editing software are:
- Easy to use
- Able to add music of my own choice
- Works on a laptop w/ windows 10
Any recommendations?
Thanks!

Windows 10 actually has a simple video editor in the Photos app.

If that doesn't work for you, here are some other free video editors:
VSDC Video Editor - Works well with HEVC (4K/60, 2.7K/120, 1080p/240) videos
DaVinci Resolve - A free professional editor. Takes a little effort to learn but well worth it in the long run. Plenty of YouTube Videos to help you get started and then advance your knowledge and skill.
VideoProc
Hitfilm Express (PC & Mac)
ShotCut. (PC only) A very promising NLE which is very easy to use and there are several excellent tutorials on their website.
Lightworks (PC only) max 720p render resolution.
Blender (PC only)
