Authentication failed

When I try to connect to my hero 5 session, it tells me in the app that something went wrong. It won't connect through Bluetooth or wifi either. I've reset the connection multiple times. What do I do?

Do you have the camera and the app up to date?

What phone are you trying to pair it with?

Have you tried pairing it with a different mobile device? This will help us isolate where the trouble may be.

If all else fails, you may try a manual software updates through https://gopro.com/update/hero5_session
