Okay, so I have realised I need a more powerful machine to import and work with 4K. I get that.
As a work around, I've looked on the GoPro website and it suggests using a program called Handbrake to convert (downscale) to a more friendly workable filesize for my PC.
After converting my footage, I've tried to import it to Quik and it will not allow it. (Third party footage issue, only GoPro) footage.
I'm a little bemused as to why you would tell point people towards this program, only to disapoint by restricting the types of files we import.
Personally, I think this is poor. It only steers people like me away from using your programs as they are not friendly towards the end user.
I also have a Phantom 4 drone, which I'm sure I would mix into the same footage, obviously not supported.
Someone tell me I'm wrong and this is not really the case here?
