Re: why do i have a timestamp offsset +1 hour for videos?

hi,

this problem is reported.

https://community.gopro.com/t5/Cameras/Hero8-Black-shooting-date-problem-with-iPhone/m-p/448606#/M11...

basically GoPro mark the video with an "UTC" in front (without extracting the timezone)

video taken at 02:38 EET (UTC +2)

DiVX shows:

General

Complete name : D:\DCIM\100GOPRO\GX010033.MP4

Format : MPEG-4

Format profile : Base Media / Version 1

Codec ID : mp41 (mp41)

File size : 30.4 MiB

Duration : 5 s 680 ms

Overall bit rate : 45.0 Mb/s

Encoded date : UTC 2020-01-19 02:38:51

Tagged date : UTC 2020-01-19 02:38:51

windows shows 02:38

iPhone    shows   04:38 (adding the timezone +2 to UTC timestamp)

hope this helps,

robert
