water in hero 7 black.

Bought the Hero 7 black to document adventures because it is a waterproof unit and I planned to surface swim and hike with it.  Was snorkeling in salt water at a depth of less than 4 feet and the screen shut off and unit died.  (I had another hero 7 black that I had all up in the pool and functioned great but it bounced out of the boat mid summer and is in 70 feet of water. Loved it, so I bought another one. Use 360 cam at work all the time and love it too, you guys make a good product)  Was damp in battery compartment, not damp in port compartment.  First time I have used it in the water.  I was very careful and ensured it was all snapped in.  Please advise what I need to do to warranty.  This thing is brand new first vacation with it now undocumented.  Let me know if you need pictures, or just send it in.

Please contact GoPro customer support. 

Just prepare a copy or a picture of your receipt since they might ask for it.
