video freezes but problem is sporadic. hero 6 black. UNACCEPTABLE

I took a chance on buying another GoPro and who would have thought... disappointed again. I'm attaching a file where the freeze happens toward the end of the video. HOWEVER, most of the time the video freezes and the audio continues at the beginning of the file. It was a very cold day but this is still kind of ridiculous that I lost just about EVERYTHING GOOD I did yesterday on a powder day. 400 dollar paperweight.
I did just update the firmware but I'll eat my shoe if that magically solves this problem. I also format my SD card every single time after I put the footage on my computer. The frozen video is not from the transfer to the PC as it appears the example same on the GoPro video finder if I try to check the footage mid day or from the app.
And yes, I am using a recommended SD card. SanDisk Extreme PRO microSDXC Memory Card Plus SD Adapter up to 100 MB/s, Class 10, U3, V30, A1 - 128 GB (D132)
I'm looking for ways to repair my video from international trips and PREVENT this from happening further before I decide to abandon the GoPro brand for good. Love how the footage comes out when the camera WORKS as intended.

In this example you start to see the flashes of light but it seems to recover for a little before ultimately crapping out.

In this example you get what is more normal in my experience. If I'm lucky it lasts 3-5 seconds before freezing while audio continues. This one just died within the first 15 frames if I had to guess.

My son experiences the same thing. Today however we believe it may be correlated to low battery. We did get freezes when the battery was fresh only toward the end of the battery charge. When we put a new batter in at lunch, video was fine..for an hour and then started freezing again.
When google search for "gopro hero 6 video freezes" I find MANY forum threads claiming the same problem.

Typically, camera freezing is attributed to a software or an SD card issue. Low battery level, however, affects camera performance in general. For example, the camera would have an indication to record in a lower resolution and use less features (like Wi-Fi, Protune) when the battery is low.

We ran an experiment yesterday, same temperature (10-20 degrees F). When battery level was > 50% we had no video freezes at 4k 60fps.

Saw the videos, it froze in 00:43 sec. This is really disappointing and I can see you have taken all the precautions you can. For the videos, you might have to go for some truisted videos repair softwar. The videos here clearly need some repairing. Probably some problem with the codecs. Try using Stellar Phoenix video Repair. Test it and see if it works for you.

I format the SD card (s) after I use them every single time. The firmware is up to date. The camera has been factory reset twice as well. Even bought an SD card directly from you guys! Guess what, still happened on the second to last file of the day. Now that I've confirmed it's not my SD card, consider yourselves warned.
