trying to update firmware hero 3 but cannot get passed serial number page ? [ New ]

Hello @nicepeak82817. Make sure to check the "You agree to terms of use" checkbox. Also, see if the Serial Number and Email Address boxes are highlighted in red. If so, this means that the value entered is invalid. These boxes should be highlighted in green to indicate that the serial number and email address are valid.

No it’s definitely the GoPro website. I just got a hero3+B and it won’t let me update on either my phone or laptop and both boxes are green. I hope just connecting to the camera is easier than this with the new ones or there is no way I would buy one. This has been soo annoying just trying to get the camera connected to either the phone or the computer. Why would you be forced to update the camera just to reset the wifi password?

Had similar go round,finally able to access using Firefox browser.
