Re: time & date wrong on Gopro hero 7 black

Hi @jsw643

How are you transferring the files to your computer?

Please note that when accessing file properties, Modified date will be the date the photos/videos were taken.

Created date will be the date files were copied to your computer.

Thanks!

Re: time & date wrong on Gopro hero 7 black

Thanks for the answer !
I just drag & drop the folder from Gopro to my computer.
no problem with Modified date and Created date.
but Modified date are different with the videos Taken date.
all the video's "Taken time" are 8 hours later than the exact time.

(please open the Attachments file.)
Thanks!

all of my recordings are 8 hours off too. seems like the camera isn't managing time zones properly.

Re: time & date wrong on Gopro hero 7 black

It seems the time on videos is automatically set to UTC. I'm having the same issue with the date and time, and it's driving me nuts when I save and view my videos. My videos are also off by 8 hours too (currently 7 since we are on DST), I'm in the US Pacific timezone. I have the the latest app on my phone and firmware on the Hero 7, and there is no way to set this.

The only date/time option I see is to 'set date and time' on the app, but it does some sort of automatic update and I cannot set it manually. We really need a firmware or software fix for this, this should be very easy and fundamental for videos.
