Thank you for the feedback, everyone. Apologies for the confusion on the previously-linked article on HERO8 Black - Video Settings and Resolutions . It has been updated and now reflects the correct information.
This article: HERO8 Black - HyperSmooth 2.0 presents all the resolution and settings where HyperSmooth is available. Currently, High and Boost are not available when the camera is in SuperView FOV.

@low5er, Superview digital lens option isn't available on 4:3 aspect ratio. You may refer to this article for the list of available video settings and resolutions for HERO8 Black.
We do not have any information about future firmware updates at this time. You can continue checking our website https://gopro.com/ for further updates.

@low5er, 16:9 or 4:3 is the aspect ratio. This is the ratio of the width to the height of an image.
Superview is one of the available digital lenses (formerly referred to as FOV) in the GoPro camera. This option lets you choose how much of the scene is captured by your camera. It also affects the zoom level and fisheye effect in your shot. For Video mode, Superview captures the largest field of view while Narrow captures the smallest.
Have you checked the article HERO8 Black - Video Settings and Resolutions attached on my previous post? It lists down all the available resolutions, framerate, digital lens option (FOV), Hypersmooth availability, etc. for each aspect ratio.

so according to that chart, it appears that hypersmooth on, high and boost with superview is listed in a few 2.7K modes in 16.9 as well as 4:3 wide with on and boost.
the reason I am asking is that Abe Kislevitz was saying in one of his articles (unless I misunderstand) that high or boost was not available in 4:3 or superview 16:9, and that's a bit of a dealbreaker for me.
