Thanks for reaching out. There are several factors that can cause issues with the image quality in the camera. To further isolate the problem, I have a couple of things to check with you:
- If you have an LCD bacpac for your HERO3+ camera, are you seeing the same lines or stripes on the preview?
- Do you get the same results when viewing your media contents on your mobile device through GoPro App?
- Transfer your media files from the SD card to your computer using an SD card reader or adapter. See if you get the same issue with the image on the preview.
- Capture a test photo and record a test video at the standard 1080P. Are new photos or videos giving you the same problem?
If you get the same result after going through the suggestions above, you may be able to prevent this from happening again in the future by reinstalling the firmware update of the camera. Doing so can help correct any errors with the current software installation.
