I was recording with my Session 5. I turned it off. When I tried to turn it on again, it would not come on. I thought the battery was probably dead. I tried to charge it with a power pack I had not used before. I noticed the camera was getting very hot. I tried to charge the camera at home. I still cannot get a red light. I have tried to various resets I have read about on the internet, but the red light still won't come on.
I put the card in my computer, and the video seems to be ok that it recorded up until I turned it off.
I found a button type battery in my bag that I have no idea where it came from. I wouldn't think it would be from the Session because I know you can't replace its battery.
Any ideas? Thanks!

This is odd, @grandbluff80353. What could have happened to the camera in between you turning it off and trying to use it again? Since the camera does not power on anymore, it would be best to get in touch with our Support team so they can assist you with the next steps. When you contact them, please have your camera accessible for any camera information that the team may need. If you have a photo of that button type battery, and of the camera as well as a copy of proof of purchase, have them handy as well. The team may be reached by phone or chat through https://gopro.com/help/ContactUs .

Sessions don't have removable batteries... but of course I know a battery has to be in there somewhere. I don't see any hole where it could have fallen out.
Would I still qualify for support if I don't have a proof of purchase? I bought it used.

Yes, @brendag4321. You may also direct Support to this thread for reference on what you have already done in terms of troubleshooting. The team will be able to look into options for you.
