replacement hero 7 Black not charging to 100% [ New ]

So 2 weeks in, I had to send my hero 7 black for replacement as it was having issues with audio commands.

Today is first day I took out my replacement hero 7 black.

I charged it ok when I got it out of the box.

It was down to 1% battery left as it must have missheard command and recorded till flat & card used up.

But today after transfering video etc, its been on charge all evening with high power usb c wall adapter and will not charge to 100%.

Just checked it as red LED lights are on and its at 99%

What now ?

take off the charge and then   replug in what is it on?

i unplug it and the charge LED's stay on.

Waited several minutes.

LED's glowing but camera does not respond to any button press.

I have to remove battery to reset. Now showing 100% charge.

Long press over ten seconds if you do not let go the button the led may still stay lit till let go did that clear it

the camera has a mode on the side button.  that you press  for the  amount of time and let go.

 Tried that today

Both from being on and in standby.

It does not reset.

If off, camera comes on after button release.

gave it about 15 seconds
