"Wifi not ready. Try again later"

[ New ]

It worked well for the first couple uses and now it seems to have a firmware error. Every time we turn it on it wants to update the date and time, you do this manually as it does not connect to app. If you try to swipe up to view media it captures the screen and freezes, if you try press the capture button to start recording it goes black with a white line through the screen, resets and turns back onto the update date and time screen. It will no longer connect to my iphone app as it reads 'wifi not ready. try again later', we have tried factory resetting it and also tried a manual update by downloading the update onto the SD card.

Has anyone found a solution for this problem?

Everytime I try to contact the support team it says "Sorry, all agents are helping other customers right now. Please try again later." or "Invalid Captcha. Please retry"

@patchy694, make sure that a recommended SD card is used for your camera.

Reinstalling the firmware update of the camera can also help correct any errors with the current software installation. Using an SD card adapter, connect your microSD card to your computer and follow the Manual Update instructions specified in this article: https://community.gopro.com/t5/en/How-to-Update-GoPro-Cameras/ta-p/394229

Additionally, performing a factory reset in the camera may help.

Let us know how it goes.

Salut,

Après avoir fait un reset d'usine, et avant de réinstaller manuellement le firmware sur ta carte SD, il serait souhaitable de reformatter ta carte SD avant l'installation du nouveau firmware sur la carte.

Essaie et redis mois si ça fonctionne.

if the app update is so unreliable and the FIRST goto Gopro response is to do it manually

shouldn't it be prompted IN THE APP to do it this way or at least advise to do it this way as the prefered method?? is this common sense not available in Gopro HQ??

why have an update system in place in app thats SO UNRELIABLE and causes so much greif to so many users???   FFS....... F@arking Stup1d Y@nks in their ivory tower straight out of high school that don't know how to even use a camera......
