"Update You Video Driver" and unable to import videos

Hi,

 

I own both a W10 Workstation and a Macbook Pro. I own multiple GoPro cameras and also one Fusion.

 

I am having issues with the Fusion on my W10 Workstation. Every time I try to start GoPro Fusion Studio I get a message stating "You have to update your video driver". I replaced my graphic card recently, as I belived it was not quick enough. I went from a Nvidia GTX 970 card to a brand new Nvidia RTX 2070 card. Both of them should be more than sufficient to handle this camera. I have a Xeon E5-1650 processor and 32GB of memory. When I replaced my graphic card I am 100% sure I installed the latest graphic driver from Nvidia.com.

 

Fusion 1.3

 

When I click "Back to fusion studio" and I try to import files from my fusion camera, Fusion Studio crashes and I am asked to submitt a bugfile to gopro. The entire process works fine on my Mac, but I am doing my video edits on the Windows 10 workstation.

 

Any suggestions?

Hi @foshak,

 

Do you have an option to configure default graphics card or configure apps to run it using your graphics card?

 

You can right click on it and choose run with graphics processor if that won't work try to go to NVIDIA experience or NVIDIA app where in you can configure app settings and performance. 

 

 

You can also try to uninstall and reinstall the app first since it might be configured using your old hardware.

Hi,

 

I have changed the graphics card settings on the Studio app to "High Performance". It did not make a difference unfortunately.

I still received the same error. I have also tried to reinstall the graphic driver, and that did not change anything. All the other apps on my computer works perfectly with the new graphic card.

 

Any other suggestions?
