our gopro is NOT working

[ New ]

we turned out unit on and it started flashing a camera with an arrow above it, we charged it and all it wanted to do is keep beeping.  now it has a red light on the front and rear and like a black/gray screen and wont turn on/off, nothing. we feel this item is a huge waste of money, and can't return it now, we have had it for over a year. and only used it 2 times. we have the silver 7

@foggywater00352, if the camera displays an arrow on the screen, this indicates that it is trying to install an update. Please try to manually reinstall the camera's firmware to make sure that it went successfully. Follow the Manual Update instructions specified in this article: https://community.gopro.com/t5/en/How-to-Update-GoPro-Cameras/ta-p/394229

If your camera is currently frozen, try to reset the camera by holding the MODE button at the side of the camera for 10 seconds.
