Hi @dantem3768,
It does not solve every issue and is why I suggested getting back in touch with our Support Team. If there is an issue with Grip itself our Support Team should be able to identify that and look at warranty options if necessary.
Cheers,
Ryan

I tried just the karma grip it would not connect. then i tried to connect it with my smart remote and it would not connect. removed sd card and installed a sandisk 64gb adn it worked. now it works with my karma grip and karma drone.

Also having this problem. I am currently using the Karma Grip with my GoPro 6 to shoot footage in the snow in Canada. It's been quite cold here - minus 20C or so - not sure if that is the issue. It usually goes like this:
1. works as expected 2-3 times - grip powers up, gimbal kicks in and levels cam, cam boots up, cam screen shows "USB connected", then can record video etc as expected.
2. after 2-3 clips, starting up the Grip results in:
a) no boot-up of camera, or
b) cam boots up quickly but does not seem to be talking to the Grip
I have tried the following:
1. reset procedure as per this thread
2. hard reset of grip
3. new grip handle with original stablizer
4. different SD card. Both are SanDisk Extreme Pro V30
5. carrying Grip + cam inside my jacket between runs

@epicdusk6527 - The cold can affect battery life, but shouldn't be causing these issues. Could be an issue with the connection to the stabilizer. Our team at https://gopro.com/help/ContactUs can help determine if that's what's going on or not.
Thanks,
Jeff

Got a new Grip today for new years eve tomorrow, and guess what, same issue, well done Gopro.
This will be the last Gopro product for me, time to move on, plenty of other good and better alternatives out there 👍

Like others, I'm experiencing the same issues with the Grip not talking to my camera (Hero5).
I updated the Grip recently and still had problems.
I tried connecting it to iPhone App.
I did a hard reset of the Grip.
I took out the memory card (SanDisk Extreme 64GB)
I'll be calling Customer Service team tomorrow. I'm frustrated that when you're trying to use a product you encounter these issues and then have to wait to speak with someone who can walk you through steps you've already taken or some other fix they are keeping secret until you call them. Either way - its bad for GoPro customers and creates frustration will hurt future sales. GoPro - FIX THE PROBLEM, PUSH OUT an UPDATE ASAP! There are 17 pages of comments all experiencing the same thing. This isn't a coincidence.
