my hero 4 does not power on

My hero 4 suddenly stopped working. What can I do?

It is odd for the camera to suddenly stop working, @nydoc. When was the last time that you've used your HERO4 camera? 

 

Do you not get any power indicator at all? Try this: remove the battery from the camera and connect it directly to a power source. If the camera powers on, it is highly likely that the battery is defective and would need replacement.
