I bought a brand new Hero 7 Black last week and took it on a 2700 mile motorcycle roadtrip from the UK to Poland via France, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Sweden and back. On day 3, the GoPro froze while recording a video, only a few minutes long but I didn't notice until we stopped to get to the ferry. On trying to do a quick record, it wouldn't, so I had to remove the battery and restart the camera. On restarting, I noticed that of the 20 or so videos I'd shot in the previous few days, only 1 of them was still showing. I've since discovered that all of the footage I'd previously taken had been deleted and the GoPro doesn't recognise any of the clips. Strangely, the available recording time shows as if the space on the SD card has been used, i.e. that the video's are still there. The card is a Sandisk U3 64GB Pro and I've never had any issues with it. The trip was a once in a lifetime and the video I shot is irreplaceable.
I've used DMDE to do a data recovery on what footage it could find, but now the recovered MP4 files will not play at all, not one.
GoPro, please help! This is a brand new Hero 7 Black and I don't expect it to have crapped out on me in less than a week!!

first off Sorry t o hear the issue or issues you have experienced, something GoPro does not wnat anyone to have, ruined shots..
You Recovered all the files and saved them so it is my understanding , it's Saf to Do a full format. then a quick format, then a camera format and go have fun.
Ifnot then you may need another card to continue:
cards and camera's do get errors and not watching thecamera 24-7 we never know what to expect. why it shut down, or even recorded at all. we thought we pressed , etc, etc,..
If you feel th camera is at afault get to gopro, if you feel the card is at fault getto the card. if you feel you did nothing at fault, what more can we say google recovery programs that will fix curruptedfiles not recover.

Thanks for the comments.
That I can tell, I've done nothing that you wouldn't ordinarily do with a GoPro. Something the GoPro has done has caused this issue to happen which means I'm left with recovered, but currently, unplayable footage.
Can you recommend which software to fix corrupted footage?
