Re: how can I reduce file size?

Looks like I will be back to the Drift Ghost 4k.  Anyone want a cheap Gopro Hero 6!  Gutted as its a brilliant camera if you only want small segments  and dont want to save any footage!Smiley Sad

Re: how can I reduce file size?

Yes. That's what I had to do. I bought Power Director since GoPro's own editing editing app has such limited capability. Agreed and I found out that Protune really uses up alot of file size.

Re: how can I reduce file size?

at 720p and 30fps, I'm getting 17 min. That is 10x the file size than my camcorder at the same resolution and frame rate. Bizarre. If you spent $400-$500 for your GoPro, you can spend $100-$150 for editing software like Cyberlink's Power Director. You can crop out what you need and save at bitrates under 5MPS. With power director, saving down to 720p is taking up 1.2GB per hour, which is 1/12 the rate of the GoPro.
