hero7 white doesn't realy turnoff
[ New ]When I turn off my camera it doesn't turn off!
1) turning off via "mode" button doesn't turn off my camera, it put it into "Idle" mode.
2) "gopro Turn off" command still puts it into idle mode.
3) turning off from GoPro App on mobile phone gives same results.
Whatever way you choose, if i press "Shutter button" after a minute it starts recording immediately.
it turns off later on itselft only after 15-30 minutes.
All that time it drains battery!!!

Re: hero7 white doesn't realy turnoff
[ New ]@aenriquezHello! I disabled QuikCapture when I learned about it.
The issue still exists. I've contacted your support but this is useless. They want me to send camera back.
After this sh**t https://community.gopro.com/t5/Cameras/Payment-Complaints/m-p/379158 I better not.
Bye. this was my worse Customer Experince.
I will buy Sony next time.

Re: hero7 white doesn't realy turnoff
[ New ]
Please run a manual software update. https://gopro.com/en/us/update
Once the update is completed, reset the camera to its factory settings. https://community.gopro.com/t5/en/Reset-Camera-Settings/ta-p/388279
Do a test recording and see if it made a difference.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks!

Re: hero7 white doesn't realy turnoff
[ New ]There is no such thing as idle mode and no other way to turn off the camera. The camera is off after any of those 3 methods you described.
What happens when you press the shutter button is that it activates the "Quick capture" feature to start recording right after the start. That feature works every time the camera has some battery left, no matter the time it is turned off. The same goes for voice commands.
If you want to save battery, turn off voice commands and Wi-Fi in settings.

Re: hero7 white doesn't realy turnoff
[ New ]There is no way to turn it off, it's not an option, it's a feature and it does not affect the battery at all.
If you have a problem with charging be sure you are on the latest software and using supported SD card from the list (https://gopro.com/help/articles/block/microSD-Card-Considerations). If the problem persists, you may have faulty camera and you could try to contact support for a replacement.
