After selecting APP, the camera should go to "pairing mode". If the option is not responding accordingly, please try a manual software update as this corrects most issues.
Once done, proceed with the pairing mode again.
If it's still the same, then the issue can be on the unit itself. Please reach out to our Support Team to move forward with this. https://gopro.com/help/ContactUs
