hero session status screen won't turn on

My GoPro Hero Session works, but the status screen won't turn on, and I tryed the reset techniques, but still won't work. What should I do?

Hi @tbit0941,

 

Have you tried installing a new firmware? 

You can download the firmware on our website: https://gopro.com/update

After that reformat your SD card and extract the downloaded file. 

Copy and paste the UPDATE folder and turn on the camera. 

 

If issue persist please get back to us.

Well sorry to hear the  long  press failed. Are we sure the battery is charging any heat coming off the camera wit hteh usb plugged in?

Ya the battery was fine, and no heat came off the camera. i was just talking to an employee and they agreed to check it themselves. thanx anyways everyone.
