hero 7 white frozen on go pro screen

Attempted first time set up of my new go pro. It was installing an update initiated through the Iphone app. This was unsucessful and it promted a reset (holding the power button for 8 seconds). I did this and now it is stuck on the Gopro startup screen constantly, every now and then turning off and back on and then always staying on this screen. Even let the battery run down and taken the sd card out however this still does not work.???

We're experiencing the same issue.  We tried iphone app, manual, and through Quik and nothing has worked. Please help!

I encountered a similar problem when I had already installed the update a week ago.
After updating, I was able to use the camera for 1 day. But since I tried to download the videos I took using the app on my phone, my camera is frozen and I can not do anything with it (not even able to turn it off).

 

What can I do now ?

We’re unable to do any updates since we can’t turn it off. It stays frozen with the start up screen.

Try leaving the camera/battery to drain.

Once drained, fully charge the camera then proceed with the manual update.

Make sure to format the SD card before proceeding.

We let it fully drain, and now it will not charge. We've connected the charging cable to two different blocks and it still will not charge. There is no activity on it. Any suggestions. Looking on the web, it appears to be an issue with this GoPro.
